Ok so for the past few months (since my new clutch cable actually) my clutch has been making noises.

- A large screech/squeal when putting it into reverse and not wanting to go in unless im at a complete stop and the brake pedal completely down.
- When moving up the gears the pedal makes a scraping / scratching noise when depressed.
- If pressing the clutch in too quickly it makes a loud click and can be felt through the pedal
- Finally I did a test a friend recommended - revved to 2500 rpm and put it into 5th gently off the clutch and the car moves but doesnt stall (as im told it should).

Potential issues?

Pressure plate gone?
Push rod gone?
Thrust plate gone?
Friction plate worn out?
Bulkhead giving way to clutch cable?
Clutch arm rubbing on gearbox casing?

Its still driving ok for the moment (ish) but I wanted to take it to Cosford in 2 weeks for the national meet / transformers convention and im worried it wont be safe..

Right I decided I'd drive to ECP to check out if the plate fitted.

About 2.5 miles down the road *SNAP* Clutch depressed dead in the water on the fast lane of the A4 (3 lane dual carriageway) luckily I was at lights.

Pulled up to the side of the road.

Cable in the engine bay was fine.

Bulkhead fine

The cable on the clutch pedal end was loose and the white plastic peice moving around freely.

So I figured out how to pop it into gear and managed to get it all the way back home somehow turning around on the A4 and driving back having to stop the ignition everytime I had to stop the vehicle...

Got home and found the ruddy cable had sheered off in the pedal box area!!!

So went to ECP - oh sorry we have to order the parts in you can have them at 1pm.

You're bloke told me they were in stock!!! Yea at the Wembley branch... FINE

Now I'll have to go back after 1pm to pick up 2 clutch cables (dont trust them now and a bulkhead repair plate - for the day I will need it).

Update - A big thank you to Lenny125 for sorting out my clutch issue - turns out the clutch is fine just the cable sheared due to rubbing against the bulkhead!

In addition looks like a repair plate has already been welded into my bulkhead at some point so thats good and now I know how to fit a clutch cable!!

Inspired by GRINNER's mats I ordered some of my own with a subtle difference..

Picked up the weitec's from Lenny125 over the weekend who kindly arranged to meet with RustyDan to get them.

Also we worked on the following for Wildrider:

1) Changed the WUR (the first one we changed to made it worse! So changed to the second one)
2) Reduced the engine revs as was idling a bit high
3) Increased the fuel mixture as was running a little lean
4) Re-set the timing as after all that was starting to pink a little again

Was running 20 times smoother after all this and starting from cold didnt stall - still not quite right as the idle does dip and it does struggle a bit to stay at 950 but still a definite improvement.

JustMatz very nice and high quality mats - a little expensive but do look awesome and highly customisable

Not a massive update but there are a few things in the pipeline:

Digifiz has been purchased - just need to find someone who can reprogram the EEPROM for me and install a PIC to convert it to MPH and my mileage - any assistance greatly appreciated guys!
