This is going to be foooookin brilliant. I remember that the first issue of Skyrocket i ever received towards the end of 2002 had an interview with Dave Seaman talking about this very car. I eagerly await the results of the resto. Good luck!

That's excellent! would love to see that
Does anyone have a copy? How about scanning it and putting it up on the forum! It'd be good to compare, I'd also be really interested to see what the seats were like then
I think I got the car in about 2005-6??

Back then Skyrocket was a rather rudimentary affair, limited by the technology cheaply available at the time (ie made on a photocopier) so as far as I recall the interview only had one black and white photo of the car - it's an N reg, isn't it?

My copy is long gone I'm afraid...

Never mind, funny how times move on though, I think my 10 yr old could produce something that looks like a proper magazine with the computers they have at schools these days!
Cars going to look great, it's being thoroughly gone through, and modified so it can be used as I want to ( going to austria, holland etc) and still look as good as all the golfs etc that are always featured in the mags!

Thanks for that mate
What does it say about the seating? As these had been covered at some point, and by the time I'd got it the seats were all breaking up. So need redoing
It's great to see the wheel centres lining up with the sills........ as I'm aiming to get them inline with the trim, about 5" up!!
Thanks for posting it up

Its about time someone built a slammed Mk1. You are going to need some stupidly short shocks to get the wheel centres to the trim line tho.. I really do hope you pull it off :mafia:

I think I was getting a bit carried away with myself there mate! :hehe:
But the aim is to get it on the deck!
Got some shortened bag yard mk1 struts, that is a good place to start.....
But we all know there's more to it than that!
