I have some chrome'd ones, but the lights have filters in them. at some point i'll get them out, but i dont want to pull the front off the light, and they're going to be a right pain to get out from the back

but that would cost me about £130 last time i saw them, and this cost me £14 :) - Also, if i decide to go back to normal style lights, i've still got clears this way, as the stuff is completely removable

No special prep needed, but i did flatten the raised markings with the suplied stanly knife, other than that, just cleaned


Sheet applied, a bit of warming helped get it around the odd way the light curves. can be done without heat as it's a bit stretchy (i did the first one without heat, but it was much easier with!)

trimmed of the excess, and one completed light! took about 20 mins in all to apply

I've got clear Lamin-X on my GTI headlights to cut down on the chance of stone chips. if the plastic gets too cloudy just peel off the old layer and put a new one on.

thought about doing that also now i've seem how easy it is!
Does it sit ok behind the frames, or did you just do the visible part? and how long roughly does it tend to last?
