So picked up some more uber rare chrome this week, something I never even new existed! Empi Vent Shades specifically for the Mk1 Scirocco! Can't find any pictures or reference to them on line, other than I guess they were made by Empi back in the day over in California - they are a few sets around for air cooled VW's such as this Beetle...



So here they are...

So my mate with the RM's rather carelessly sold them yesterday so a quick pick up today and i'm now rollin on 13" steelies in a "Winston style"

Thought you'd like both "upgrades" I'm just doing a bit of research into the G60, its a "known" engine and gearbox from a former show car with a tonne of receipts from TSR Performance Awesome GTI, Jabbasport and G-force International over in Holland, plus its has a few trick bits and has been rolling roaded at 195bhp!

i almost bid on the vent shades too haha but couldnt help thinking they would look a bit odd.
glad i didnt as they dont look to my taste.

its a refreshing change from seeing enthusiasts having to pay ridiculous money for stuff.

Deal is now done on the G60 engine, its coming with the gearbox, charger and full loom. After some more research and reading through all the old receipts its coming with a Mk3 2.0 longer fifth gear as the G60 box is a bit shouty on the motorway otherwise, the rare Rallye spec cast metal U bend which I believe is now obsolete, new shaft in the charger, new casing, its had new valves and seats and the engine has been "honed" as well as a few other little bits. Its not going in straight away but will be in this year likely by a friend of mine who put the 20V in this monster...

So with things progressing on other fronts, thought it was time to start some more wheel whoring and picked these up this week, a set of 16" Work Autostrada Modena staggered split rims, sadly they are 5x114 Jap fitment, but are flat backed so can easily be redrilled if keep 'em...

Clearly they are filthy in the pictures, but you get the idea...
