They will fit as they have the same suspention set up, I'm not sure about spring rate etc as I think the mk1 Golf weights less than a Mk2 scirocco, Im not expert on these things as i only run mine on the standard set up.

Someone else might post more info who have fitted coilovers to a Mk2

im running mk1 golf gti koni 40mm springs and dampers on my 89 scala if that helps :good:
