well done Jim - that interior looks fantastic now (miles better than when i handed them over to you) - i don't think i could have put that sort of effort into those seats ( not with a 9 month old anyway) - did you manage get the driver and passenger seat centre's a bit more plump - if so how and how.

What products did you use to achieve the patching of the tear, filling of the grain and colour change

top job bud

Cheers Tristan, was a bit of hard work.

I plumped up the drivers seat back and also the two front bases, with high density foam from a sette repair shop, left the passengers one as it was and to be honest its actually more comfortable

I bought a leather repair kit from www.furnitureclinic.co.uk and cut a patch and stuck it in. Needed a bit of leather repair filler to blend it in, its 95% there just needs a bit more work, which i can now do at a more leisurely pace. :yup:

Agree with Tris, looks a top class job.
I used Furniture Clinic to refurbish my front seats on the Storm, good service and products.

Have now sorted the rear boot out, no pic though, but fresh carpet and sorted the rusty arch out.

Also done the dashboard and gear gaitor.

Looking good Jim. :good:

Can you confirm what product you used to recolour the dash and how happy you are with the finish?

:beers:

Paul

the product is http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leathe ... nt_Kit.php its the same kit i used to colour the leather.

very happy with it at the moment, a few bits scraped off when i was installing the binacle, but have touched it in.
TBH i should have let it dry for a bit longer but im a bit impatient :chortle:

If it is as resilient on the dash as it is on the seats then i dont see any problems with it.

Thanks Jim. I did wonder if it was the same stuff, but wasn't sure with the other bits being leather. It certainly looks good in the photos.

I always wondered what grey leather would look like in a Mk2. Now I have the answer. It's fantastic.

Smiffy likes. :good:
