Fitting a chin spoiler??

Post by eefy »

I'm considering fitting a chin spoiler to my rocco and was wondering what was involved in this??? ie how would you fit one, does it require drilling of the spoiler and body kit then just bolt together for instance???

and also what chin spoilers will fit the mk2 rocco??

i've seen a Mk1 golf one up on ebay, would this fit easily???

thanks in advance for any advice :)

Heath

If i remember right, Renault Laguna ones can be fitted if the are shortened ( Lagunas are wider than Roccos) also some Seat models will fit, but again need to be shortened. Im not sure if the Golf ones fit matey.

Don't ask me....it was like that when i got here !

Don't think a golf one would fit. Saw someone on here trying to sell a Sciroc with a Volvo chin splitter on it. Looked really tidy but don't know if he had to do any fabricating/tweaking/arsing about with it first.

I've seen another on here that was a bit tall though. Came down too low for my liking and made the car look a bit silly. The guy was removing it anyway. Did you see that Top Gear when Hammond put a spoiler on a white 6 series for a grass race? It was a bit like that. :chortle:

Tornado GTII: Koni, Flo-flex, Girling, Weber, K&N, Powerflow, Goodridge, ASA, Yokohama... to fit: stainless 4 branch.

only thinking of fitting a 2" one, not the huge one. Unfortunalty missed one on ebay by 2 mins, was even in white :( it went for £2.20, for that money i'd have give it a go, will keep an eye out now for another one :)
