wheel arch plastic extension damage

Post by SYNCRO »

Some person has whacked the side of the 'rocco whilst parked in Tescos in a remote out of the way bit.

The Drivers side front wheel arch plastic extension was rubbed by a red car, the red paint has been polished out but there is now a gap of about 5 mil for about 5cms along the top
of the arch extension.

Will I have to have the whole lot taken off and remounted or do you think the metal wing itself has been distorted??

Not a happy bunny as I did park it out of the way to try and prevent this sort of thing happening Image

that's probably a bent wing then, sorry dude.

might be worth having a word with tesco and see if they got it on cctv. if they are unreceptive, write to them and make a data protections request for any film of you or your car from that day and time (much more work for them, but they are allowed to charge for it. i think it's a tenner)

had very similar on frankenrocco when i first bought it. removing the bodykit revealed a kink in the metal arch. nothing that a good paintless dent guy won't be able to sort out

Sorted by the guys at Dunmow Coachworks who deal more with higher end prestige cars...........but were more than happy to sort me out.

Total £30.00 inc refitting the rubber strip on the other wing :buddy:

Thanks guys

when i used to work for plumb centre, our tansit got crashed and went into a local bodyshop for repair. they do more rebuilding that accident stuff, and it was parked in their workshop between a TR6 and a silver cloud :hehe:

the repair stood out really badly too, as the finish on the paint was way too good
