Re: trying something different now. ;-)
Today i got a bit more done. I have stripped the paint off the pass door. i saw loads of little spider style rust spots which have now been attacked and gone. Tomorrow im going to get it into primer and ready for base coat. I have reattached the spoiler. I had done something different with the arches as i was going for a certain look, they have been completely rolled and flared. Will update with pics soon.
Re: trying something different now. ;-)
sounds good bud! cant wait to see it finished.
as soon as mines welded up the arches will be rolled and flared to suit the wheels. then probably dropped on her tits haha.

haha get on it. With mine i just rolled and flared them, didn't end up welding them. It will still have a few things done to it such as the roof, arches, interior. Im just not going to the extreme of what i wanted. That way got more chance of selling it and getting what i want out of the box.
Re: trying something different now. ;-)
Nearly got the car ready for paint now. Im doing it the original colour, however i am not sure whether to have it satin or gloss. I picked up a new wing from Benspares, great guy. I have rolled and flared it and got it ready to go on the car. I have stone chipped the rear valance and going to do a bit on the sills, cannot have enough protection
I have found the perfect set of wheels for me, a set of Rota grids in 16x8's, they have silly amount of dish
.Going to order my new coilovers in a few weeks to start getting it looking right, whilst i do this going to refurb all suspension, new wishbones, lines etc. Going to look at fully polybushing it as well. I keep getting tempted to sell , but now im getting closer i want to use it. Time will tell. Havent got anything interesting to show till next week really

Re: trying something different now. ;-)
hmm...id probably keep them. but then i dont think they look out of place.
Re: trying something different now. ;-)
Thought id update this, been doing a lot of small jobs and getting it rust free completely.
Changed my mind and going to have a spoiler after all.

Old pass wing off:

Scuttle panel clean up start, primer is from when i started it months ago but didnt finish it haha.

It nearly fin after stripping and extensive sanding. It has been coated in stone chip, it will next be coated in high build primer and made very smooth. the reason for the stone chip is to give it that protection it seems to get a good bit of ware so dont want chips and all that poop.

Also cleaned up where the pass wing sits on, was small patches of rust but no corrosion.

Re: trying something different now. ;-)
not been doing much on this at the min due to long dark cold nights and generally can not be bummed at the min. I have picked up some parts recently though consisting of a new rear bumper and bonnet. I sold my bumpers as i wanted to try something diff from the usual but have gone backwards and going to try just a rear then maybe a front as well if want to in the end. thanks to Markh for the parts. Also treated myself to a nice set of 16x7.5 and 16x9 borbet A's to fill the arches up good and proper. i wont be running stretch on these as i dont think i will need to. The will be having a refub during the winter but nothing polished as its not my thing on my own car.

I gave it to a mate to carry it on as i ran out of money at the time and he wanted a decent project. Needless to say a few weeks later he actually scrapped it, such a let down. I keep getting tempted to get another to get stuck in to but loving my clio again at the min.
