Mk1 golf cabrio rear seats - fit MK2 Rocco?
Trying to find a new interior for my Mk2 and was wondering if the rear bench seat of a Mk1 Golf Cabrio will fit. I know the front seats do but was wondering about the rears. does anyone know or tried to fit before?

The front seats will fit but you will not have the height adjuster. I think the rear bench will be too high, that's knowing after owning both but never tried to fit one.
What about using the material and having the Scirocco seats recovered?

Re: Mk1 golf cabrio rear seats - fit MK2 Rocco?
ian, have sourced myself a MK1 golf GTi interior and found a place in suffolk that supplies seat kits for them but nothing for MK2 Sciroccos, so going to install the refurbed MK1 GTi seats (front and back) into the Rocco.
It will mean using the rear seat back frame of the current rocco one with the foam bolster and new seat coverings from the Golf to make a new rear seat. The rear seat bench will be a bit higher but not bothered about this as rear passengers wont be in there much.
With regards to the non height adjustment, how much lower will the fronts be? Picking them up tonight so will install to see whats what, it may mean using the front seat height adjustable frames with the MK1 GTi seats to fit on top, to keep shape from golf and height adjust from Scirocco.
If the worst comes to the worst then i can use it as a cinema as the back seats will be higher than the fronts

What type of MK1 seats, the early type with tartan centres or the later with the coloured stripes going top to bottom?
