bumper & mirror re-paint

Hi all

As above really, have lacquer flaking on bumpers and mirrors, any idea if it is a big job to respray ?..do they have to have the old paint stripped off ? and what the cost would be roughly.

Neither are particularly difficult. Are you planning to do it yourself?

I would take the opportunity to dismantle the bumpers and spray the metalwork as well.

not sure i could get the finish with rattle can so was thinking of bodyshop

It's a lot easier getting the right finish on these than it is on a body panel IMHO.

Try a wing mirror and see how you get on, if you don't like the result you can always try a bodyshop later.
