ENGINE CHANGE

Post by foylie »

Noticed on your technical page that the best option for an engine change for a gt2 would be a kr engine running side draught carbs sounds like a good option but is there anymore work/parts that would be required to complete job ie cylinder head mods etc many thanks foylie.

It depends partly what you want to use the car for. A 16v on twin carbs isn't that cheap to put together, needs a fair bit of mechanical skill, and isn't really suitable for a daily driver, unless you're prepared to live with low 20s MPG.

if you want a big powerup, but still retain enough economy for daily use, try going for a 2L 8V such as the 2E
