Hey guys
I have the possibility of getting a rear axle from a scrap Rocco. The breakers yard guys say they’ll flip it for me.
Could someone give me a full run down of tools required for this job? I have to go there after work today.

A hacksaw or even better a battery powered grinder to cut the bolts which attach to the dampers. A 17mm socket on an extension and ratchet for the 4 nuts that hold the beam to chassis and that should be about it. Worth taking some plusgas or wd40 with you as well of course.

Basicly,
Cut through the brake flexi hoses.cut or disconnect the hand brake cables
disconect the rear shockers, either by removing the bolts, 2 times 17mm spanners/sockets needed here, sometimes they corrode to the shocks so a hack saw through the shock will enable you to bybass the undoing the nuts and bolts till your at home.
Axel mounting bolts are either 15 or 17 mm ( been a while).....If you cannot undo them over tighten then so they sheer off....Take a long bar to use to undo these incase.
the axel is reasonably heavy and will fit into a scirocco with the seats down.

17mm sockets/spanners needed only for all bolts (axil to chassis, lower suspension/top suspension)
side cutters for the brake hoses as described above.
..oo, and a 2' bracker bar cause the bolts will be tight/rusted!
