Those are some big paragraphs. Get that feeling if you were to explain that to your mechanic/tyre fitter, they'd probably get a little insulted! Interesting read though.

True enough about the insult thing... BUT you could masquerade it as needing to be Scene. ;)

"Can you put the stripes on the outside and all the little yellow dots next to the valves please... I'm a sad git that likes uniformity" ;)

to be fair, most tyre fitters will pick out a matching pair and fit them properly. i reckon if you were to ask them what the marks meant, as opposed to tell them what they mean, you may find you get a much more positive response

You steam a good ham Nate. Gunna have to get some new tyres on the rear within the next month, so might ask and see if they can make it make sense for me :) lol

i get it at work all the time. you'd be amazed how much wrong information the general public has about cars. then when they tell me what is wrong with their car and i point out that they couldn't have driven off the motorway if their timing belt had broken they get all stressy with me and demand that i do this that or the other. makes me want to punch them in the face. or at least forget to tie their car onto the truck  but the ones who ask, i'll explain anything they want.
