I have a rear spring busted
On the car are Koni adjustable (8041 1101 sport damper)
I do not understand what "coil overs" are how would I be able to tell if I have them, and what is the difference?
is it possible to just change the spring?
Thanks all :D

Re: Busted spring
Morning.
I'm no technical expert and it's far too early so very simply coilovers are adjustable suspension. Think of them as a combined spring and shock that can be adjusted while still attached to the car.
Definitely wouldn't recommend mixing them. Should be able to get a spare spring from koni

Re: Busted spring
I would recommend changing springs in pairs on the same axle, unless yours are very new. As Mr Funk says, make sure the springs are appropriate to the dampers you have, or your ride quality will be appalling.

Re: Busted spring
I see so the spring comes off and is not an integral part of the "package"
So I should ask for a spring that fits the shock (numbered above).
A lot of places sell sets, before I start my long search, are there any places selling springs, that folks know?

Re: Busted spring
springs should be replaced as an axle set. replacing just 1 spring can give you "ditchfinder" handling. from the sounds of it, you have uprated shockers and lowered springs. if you can stick up a pic of your suspension you'll get it confirmed very quickly. that being the case, the cheapest solution is probably going to be to get a complete set of lowered springs and replace all 4

Re: Busted spring
Thanks Nate
I rang Koni and they were very, very helpfull.
They took the damper Part No. and the spring colour and sent me the correct replacements.
it's a nice ride now with new springs on
