Apologies if these questions sound stupid but I am a new owner, 92 GT2. I know that I need some sort of manual and to research more on this site but in the mean time I would be really grateful for any help.
1. How do I tell which of the 2(?) braking systems I have?
2. Is there only one type of clutch?
3. Should this model have a cat? It doesn't look like it has one.
4. Is the nearside hub nut left hand thread?

3) No Rocco's have a cat as far as I know mines a 92 GT2 also (August) no cat.

The two braking sysytems are ATE and Girling. EBC and Balco are aftermarket manufacturers. The type of system is sometimes stamped onto the body of the master cylinder.
The clutches are the same for 1.6 and 1.8s, but uprated versions are available.
Pretty sure you only get cats on some US models, certainly not on UK models.
Cant remember if the n/s hub nut is left hand thread, they are done up pretty tight though.

The Hub nut is the same as the offside but they are very tight I always find when doing them is get a long breaker bar and the right socket to go on the nut. Then put them on and have the breaker bar horizontal with the nut and then stand on it but make sure you are going in a anticlockwise direction. When doing this find a wheel to put on and take the center cap out so that you can access the hub nut. Put the car back on the ground with the wheel on and get someone to press on the brake pedal while undoing the nut and it should undo.

Clutches come in three different sizes depending on whether you have a 1.6l, an early 1.8l or a later 1.8l engine.
The sizes are 190mm, 200mm and 210mm.
The pressure plate and friction disc should be the same size, and not, as someone had previously fitted to a GTX I bought, a 200mm friction disc on a 210mm pressure plate.
