The other day I drove over a massive pothole in the rocco and the radio signal went from 4 bars to 0.
Now when Im stationary I can pick up a station (to an extent) but moving they seem to come and go.
Ive checked all the terminals (ISO / antenna) and they seem fine.
Is it possible my radio's internal gubbins has gone? The stereo has never really been properly secured and it is about 4 years old and it is a Tevion to boot.
PS I know nothing about ICE, when I got the car, I replaced the Pioneer for this Tevion and managed to wire it up wrong, leading to a power drain!
Any ideas guys?

Check the aerial lead where it actually goes into the aerial, some aerial leads are a screw thread.

Or does it have an aerial extension lead, if so then check that as well.

I've checked the aerial plug (push in type) its secure enough..
I also tried an old school window aerial and got the same result.
My car has a beestinger fitted and the wiring goes all down the N/S of the car, to the boot, up the N/S C-Pillar to the stinger.
All the cabling looks fine along there.
Unfortunately my other head unit has different wiring and when I hook it up it has no power (I think the power has been wired directly to the ISO connector for the Tevion).
Not sure what to do now, may just have to take it to show someone..

only real options are to test the aerial and headunit by substitution...

Just wanted to say a BIG thanks to Ian for coming over today and helping me with my stereo issues.
Turns out it it was the head unit after all and the reason the old head wouldnt work was because the fuse had blown.
Anyway after a few new fuses and a some small rewiring the old Panasonic now lives and I can again listen to the radio!

Also thanks for helping me change the scuttle cover and for the advice on the other bits and pieces including the BMW!
