Removing oil cooler
I have a serious oil leak coming from the oil cooler. I have narrowed it down to the seal between the cooler and the housing. Any idea how to remove the cooler? It is a later water cooled type. Thanks
Re: Removing oil cooler
You'll have to drain the coolant, undo the two coolant hoses to the cooler.
Undo the oil filter, once you've got the filter off you can undo the big nut on the filter pipe that the filter screws onto.
I think it might be about 24-27mm diam, then you can remove the oil cooler.
