Spot lamp identification...

I got this spot lamp kindly donated to me a while back - I've just realised that the fittings aren't the same as the one on the car, so it looks like this is for something else. Is anyone able to identify it for me?

assuming it is roughly the right dimensions, maybe either early passat or T25?

any part numbers on it?

It could also be a fog light from a very early MK2, the inner lights were fog lights on the GL.

It's a fog lamp as Ian suggested.

It's listed on the classicparts website.
