alley cats clearence

Post by celyth »

hey all, got the rocco back on the road this week, weeeheeeyyy

got a problem tho, i got 13x8 alleycats allround with 8mm spacers on front, even with the spacers the wheels were still catching the caliper so i ground off quite a bit of my calipers (I KNOW, NOT TOO GOOD OF AN IDEA), ran it for a year like this with no probs, but i feel like i shudnt do it any more, any suggestions on what calipers are smaller to clear the wheel, i could put bigger spacers on but my wheels allready stick out about and inch and a half from the arch :S

any info wld be great

cheers
cel

Only rocco I am aware of that ran wheels like that was the black CL of 'whitbytom' a few years back. He can usually be found over on Retro Rides forum last time I checked.

MIGHT be worth checking on edition 38 or wheelwhores sites to re anybody with experience of running a mk1 golf with a similar set up?
