Drive shafts

Post by Raga-blipo »

Need to replace the drive shafts on my 1990 JH Scirocco GTII, and have found some from an 84 GTI on ebay. Are there any differences between them or will they fit?

thank you,

R.

nope, the 84 will have 90mm driveshafts.

changeover to 100mm approx 1989.

rocco shafts arnt hard to get.... i've jsut replaced all my CVs, bearigns and brakes, all parts brought new/reconditioned at the one shop!

...if need be get any shafts (90 or 100) and chance the inner CVs?

..why change them anyway, unless you've damaged the shaft its self jsut change the CV, ts not a big job!

jsut my 2 cence.

Jay.
