Faulty oil warning light?

Post by shiftystylin »

Hi guys,
I had a bit of work done on my car a year ago and oil warning light started to come on after I exceed 2000 rev's for a short period of time. I've checked the pump and its working fine, the clocks are a bit old but the mechanic who looked at it said it could be any number of things due to the amount of switches that vw use. Just wondering if anyone has has this and fixed it before?

if it was mine, i'd be fitting an oil pressure gauge - even if it was just temporarily to see what was actually happening
