What size are the standard front and rear speakers?

Post by HotSoutheastWind »

What size are the standard front and rear speakers please?

As you know i dont deviate from standard, but some of the speakers are a little tired in my Storm. I was planning on getting new ones all round (the same size so i can keep them under the original grilles, just really good quality ones).

What are the front and rear sizes please?

Cheers :)

So long as they're standard speaker size across the face and don't protrude too much, they should fit. There's plenty of depth to use behind the doors so no worries there.

I changed both my cars speakers for Alpines, they fit behind the grills with no hassle.

just be careful of 2 things:

1] central built in tweeters that stick out too much

2] some infinity stuff has a 1/2" lip sticking up round the edge which stops the grille going on

I had the lip problem when I swapped mine and got tired of having them on show so I took the door panel off whipped the door pods off and fitted them to the back of the pod. had to trim up the door a bit so they would clear but is all hidden away now and looks stock

Aren't they just glued on?

I had a set of speakers with them on and with a bit of careful pressure they just pop off.
