Can't wait to hear comments on the new wheels, its down for both days of Inters as a show and shine entry so fingers crossed! :vcool:
Quite rightly so on the comments mate, will get even more with those rims!!

That was a great wee vid cheers mate - just goes to show how dowdy looking a Golf really is compared to a Rocco - i (personally) cant see what the fuss is about - lol.

Musta been an early one as it didn't have the body kit... we stopped at the local VW garage so that he could put his down payment on a new "one" (I don't remember which model it was) but all in all it was a wonderous experience... especially being holed up in the back with his sister late that evening to take her home after a night of snoggin' and general adolescent investigating.

I've always like the shape and the look of a Rocco... so now I have one (technically 2) and intend to try and bring it up to what I feel are modern "luxury" standards in keeping with the GT tradition!
Haha some truly great memories there mate - especially the rear seat experiences - haha top notch - id of bought one a long time ago if this had been my experience - lol :vcool: :hehe:

For me I was originally always all about the MK2 Golf, I always liked and was aware of the Scirocco but never really paid much attention to it.

About 6 months ago I was on the look out for a Golf GTi, my girlfriends Dad said why not look at Scirocco's too?

I started to look and read up about them and soon became obsessed with this awsome retro looking car. After a few test drives I picked one up and even though it has at times been a real pain with niggles, I still love it!

So I don't have to drive a mk1 during Winter :hehe:

But seriously, I'm a bit of a fan of the wedge, hence i really gravitate towards the original mk2 vision without the bodykit, my favourites being the 82 spec cars. But y'know, I wouldn't turn down and am a huge fan of an original 16v, White Scala or a Tropic with the lairy factory interior. Import a Tropic? hmmm...

I was actually looking for a MK2 Golf GTi but I spotted a Rocco in Pewter Grey, it was about the height of a monster truck when I bought it! It had a look of a Delorean about it too

I'm always one to back the underdog and I like to be different, and I have never looked back (well actually I have as I fitted stupid little wing mirrors  )

I was on the look for something cheap and vag after killing a hateful mk3 golf and remembered the GTII I lusted after back when I was 18 and driving a mkI golf. Saw mine on ebay and knew that was going to be my next car and a few days later I was on the A12 in a blue GTX with a knackered drivers seat and only 2 gears and I have spent the last 2 years breaking things and fixing them and stockpiling bits for a rebuild
