As it says,
Is anybody running wheel spacers on the rear of your mk2?
As you know the rear is narrowers then the front and i'd like to have the wheel rims level with the wheel archs.
So how big are yours? What is it like to drive on and have you head any problems?
And if you have any other info that i've not thought of, that'd be great!

Bill runs 5mm rear spacers on his Tornado Red GTX i believe
i run adaptors of course on my scala with 7 and 8 inch D90's if you check the project thread.

I run 15, but they're being replced by spcers between the axil and hub.
'85 Mk2 GT 1.6 carb. 4+E box, loads of goodies (elecy things!)

I've got 7" wheels with an ET 20 and 10 or 15mm spacers on the rear. Sits very flush with the arches, need to be rolled really so I just have my dampers set pretty stiff.

I'm running ET30 with a 22mm spacer between the hub and axle and have had to have some arch work done.

Thankyou for the replys all good stuff.
I recon I may 20mm to push them out there.
As for the rear bearing changes, thats fine with me. As I just spent a short time this morning changing both handbrake cables and saw how easy a change the rear bearings are!

8mm hubcentric spacers on mine to bring the track width to the same as the front. Had them on years, no problems at all

Well!
They're on.
I'm now running a set of FK 20mm centric B+ and I still have a gap between the inner arch and tyre big enough for my little podgy fingers to get in between, thanks in large to the tyre stretch doing its job. So I'll see how it gose as to weather I need to do some arch work. I proably still will thinking on once I get my hands on a rolling tool.

i have to ask - in the 2nd to last pic there is a hammer on the floor. what part of fitting wheel spacers was that used for?

Ok
Had a little drive and the gap of my finger seems to disapeare pretty quikly!
So I now have the arch rolling tool!
What happends about the body kit that screws through into the arch?
I was thinking about trimming it back and somehow fastening it on some how?
Any help will be great!
