injectors

Post by steviet_1988 »

I just wondering if you can use 2.0 litre k-jet injectors in a 1.8 k-jet engine and would it make it faster?

Thanks

Chucking more fuel at an engine won't make it any faster if it's already fuelling correctly. If you've got uprated bits in the engine, it might be a good idea, but you can also adjust the fuel pressure at the metering head, or fit a 16v Golf WUR (warm up regulator) which controls the fuel pressure, and increases fuelling at higher load, due to being vacuum controlled, unlike the 8v one.

Also, you need to be careful with kjet injectors, because there are two different threads - 12mm and 10mm. You need to make sure you get the right one, or they won't fit in your injector pipes.
