Replacement fuel pump

Post by philiano »

Hi
I've bought a replacement fuel pump for my MK2 GT2, but it looks different to the older one.
It looks like it'll attach to the car the same, but instead of the fuel lines running into the front of it, on the new one they run into the top. Is this the wrong pump, or just a re-design? If its the right one, how will I know which will be for the fuel-in, and which for fuel-out?

Thanx
Phil

probably just a different make. whip the old one off and check the inside looks the same.

to work out which pipe is which squidge the lever on the back of it with your finger over one of the pipe spiggots and see if it sucks or blows. or just look at the arrows that are probably stamped on the case somewhere
