Clutch cable snapped!

Coming off from the M5 last night to Cheltenham the cable snapped. The pedal went straight to the floor, i got it in neutral and coasted to the nearest layby.
Its waiting now at my friends place who does have a Haynes manual so im sure we'll get on ok.
Ive never done this job before so would like a breif description if possible of the opereation so i know in my mind what sort of task im looking at.
Im picking up the cable this afternoon from GSF.

Not really too much of a job. Attaches both ends and job done. Fit from pedal end first though, and don't forget to undo your adjusters before you do the job. Should take ten minutes tops to do :)

and to ensure long term smooth cable travel before fitting gently pour some oil into the cable casing, hold up and carry on pouring until it comes out of bottom.

Best advice ever. Couldn't believe how much of a difference it makes. Did the same to my choke cable soon after.

Thanks for the tip on the oil. I ended up doing the job in 20 minutes.
