i've finally got round to putting a front lower strut brace on the mk2 :D (xmas present)
and it's pretty great, nice and flat throught the corners and well worth 30 odd quid anyway was wondering if anyone had a rear upper brace on a mk2 rocco and if it's worth it?
cheers
Ben
Yeah got one fitted to mine and personally I think they do make a difference. Best way I can explain it is, when you tank it round an island the back end feels more planted and less-inclined to swing out.
Either way, for less than £30 its gotta be worth it.
sounds good Alex
where did you get your upper rear brace from??
To jxp ==> I got my front lower brace from strutbracer it uder the mk1 golf heres the link: http://www.strutbracer.co.uk/page1.php? ... 1&manuf=90
it's about 30 quid including postage :) and takes about 20minutes to fit :D
Nice, think i will get measurements for that as well. just what Im looking for. Got a brace from here a while back but the bonnet rests on it and lifts it slightly. Strutbracer.co.uk do a MK1 golf the fits a rocco but not a nice as these
The people from the ebay link don't do a lower front brace as I asked them before. I was hoping to be able to pick a rear one up to save on postage but it's postage only unfortunately. The rear one will fit a Mk2 rocco as the Mk1 Golfs and Mk1/2 Roccs are the same. I sold my OMP rear to someone with a Golf cabby.
rear definitely worth it. I have all 3 and there's a noticeable difference with all of them. i fitted them one by one in case you're wondering! By the way i have a custom front upper for sale specifically for the mark 2 scirocco built to accomodate the weber conversion on the carb but would also go on an injection. Fits under bonnet with no issues and doesn't interfere with the k&n if you have one on your car.
