Hi,
Bought a mk2 scirocco gt a few months ago and it's developed this problem where after being on for a while, the car either rev's ridiculously high or cuts out. The choke seems to have little effect when this problem starts. I thought it was something to do with the carb because when I bought the car it had been siliconed on so I mounted it properly but this doesn't seem to have solved the problem. Any ideas?
Thanks
Ross
Anyone know how to fix this?!

it's the weber conversion. they'd glued it on cause the mount had split and it had like cardboard gaskets...

Hey up mate, does moving the carb with your hands affect the idle at all? Prob best to get a new rubber flange on the go.
