my 1st scirocco
my 1st scirocco
Just bought this, non runner been sat in a field for 2 yrs !!!
i think the moss has protected most of the paint work as under the moss its a good shell and chasis is top notch
Spent a hr on it tonight and eventually got it running even tho it wont idle so carb off for a clean tomorrow. also took a rag and litle compound to moss and under it paint was good.
Odd patch of rust on lower doors and front of bonnet, so as i own a bodyshop i will be giving it a full respray in same colour, aprat from that and 1 snapped spring it seems ok :)
shall keep thread updated and restore it to its former glory :)
and my other dub :) corrado

Hey, if you like cleaning cars that much I'll get mine extra dirty and you can give the £1,000,000 to me. I'm willing to cross the sea!eamon1.3 wrote:I would pay you one million pounds to let me clean that. Pity your in engerland

Welcome dude.
A little G3 and that will look a gazillion times better. Always good to see a Scirocco saved from the jaws of death.

Re: my 1st scirocco
weve all got to start somewhere - it will feel like such an accomplishment at the end im sure ;)
Re: my 1st scirocco
I'd have left the moss on. No one would mess with you if you drove a car that looked like that! Hard as nails. Although the police pulling you over to try and prove it's unroadworthy every 5 minutes would probably get tiresome.
And I think the internet equivelant of a handshake is in order for saving a Scirocco.
