HT lead spark
i've just been giving my new rocco the once over and ive noticed that the metal shields around the spark plus on the HT leads are creating a spark between themselves and the head. it's mainly on 1 and 2 by the looks of it. is this normal? i'm presuming i'm gonna need a new HT set, I'm going to get new plugs tomorrow anyway.

Re: HT lead spark
Definitely new leads needed, and dont touch the metal covers with your bare hands when engine is running or you will light yourself up....closely followed by the words "Ouch, ya B..stard" and shaking of sizzling fingers!!!

just got new plugs and its stopped now. i think the old plugs were too small meaning the metal covers were sitting against the head.

Re: HT lead spark
it shouldn't matter of the metal covers touch the head - they're not meant to have HT connected to them! fire it up somewhere very dark and see if you can see sparks tracking down the outside of the cables. i reckon they've probably seen their day. get a new set of decent leads (bosch, bbt, etc) on there
