Replacement cost

Post by 1lazza »

I would be very grateful for your independent views on replacement cost for some parts I lost in a fire recently. All parts were used but absolutely perfect unmarked...All for Mk1 Scirocco 1980:

Wolfsburg steering wheel complete with boss (plastic rim)

Instrument cluster

Front bumper

Rear bumper

Rear bumper NOS

Some of my steel panels were in the fire but 'survived' - no way to tell how warped they are until I need to use them...

Your thoughts?

not yet a mk1 expert but based on my discoveries this years..........

Wolfsburg steering wheel complete with boss (plastic rim) - £30-40?

Instrument cluster -£40 depending on condition and what dials are included, tatty one on ebay at the moment

Front bumper - £60

Rear bumper - £60

again subject to pre fire condition

Rear bumper NOS - £100

Some of my steel panels were in the fire but 'survived' - no way to tell how warped they are until I need to use them... check the autoteile/craxy quiffs websites.

81gti, petegli and the autoad may appear soon with their views.

I would agree with all the above, although I sold a Mk1 steering wheel as described above in pretty much mint condition, in brown about a year ago on Ebay and it reached £75 if that helps. I think it is too old to still be in my account as proof but will have a look for you if you like?
