arnt there some factory fitted lights with white highlights or have i been smoking too much again?

Some white Scalas - I think the earlier carbed ones, had white stripes on the lights.

They certainly did have white striped rears.

yep. I used to own one. Looked amazing. I think they changed in 88 to injection and ditched the white highlights on the snowflakes and the white interior and white striped lights. I really miss that car. My first scirocco! In my opinion by far the best LOOKING one they ever did.
