The wet patch

Post by rochy411 »

Hi All

Just got out the car today and noticed a wet patch under the passangers front seat. I had a brief an limited lift of the carpet and found a cracked surface underneath the carpet, of which a small portion gave way to reveal another surface - obviously the metal floor. I could also feel under the car and couldn't feel anything crusty. What is the inner surface? are there any obvious points for water ingress or am I looking at a rust hole?

cheers

Pete

That's great, thanks for replying. From what the faq suggests, the bulkhead might be the culprit. Are there particular areas to look at when checking the bulkhead?

As far as the inner surface that is cracked is concerned - any suggestions as to what it is?

Cheers

Pete

I think you're probably referring to the sound-deadening material. Leave it where it is unless you want to drive in an acoustic nightmare.
