Hi all,
Does anyone have a fuel tank heat shield available? Restoring my fuel tank at the moment and the heat shield is knackered!
Thanks,
Dave

The image appears blocked, Dave. Presumably it is not a standard fitment?

Sorry chap, was just a photo of my fuel tank for reference. It's one of the 55l tanks from a Scala.
These heat shields seem impossible to find!

I think the part number is 155201281
It looks like it was only fitted on injection models.
Availability from VW in Europe looks uncertain but it's apparently still available new from VW in USA.

Thanks so much chap, really appreciate the info there. Out of interest where do you find all your part numbers?
Up until now I've been using a mixture of 7Zap and VW Heritage, but couldn't find the heat shield part number on either of them!

Re: MK2 - Fuel Tank Heat Shield
I don't find 7zap as user friendly or useful as it used to be. There isn't really a single (free) source that covers everything, so I tend to switch around.
I got your part number from here:
https://www.catcar.info/audivw/?lang=en
I find these two useful as well:
https://www.ilcats.ru/vw/?function=getM ... anguage=en
https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/vw/RDW/SCI
This one is also useful, but with less detail:
https://webautocats.com/en-gb/etka/volkswagen/sci/
This last one also works, but is a bit tedious to navigate:
https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/genuine/

I might have one in stock, might need some work but not rotted away.
Send me an email at scirocco53@ziggo.nl and I will get back to you.
