Does anyone know which of these part numbers is the one with the intermittent wipe for an 83 model GL?


VW 321 953 519 B Wiper Switch; Steering Column Switch
VW 321 953 519 D Wiper Switch; Steering Column Switch
VW 331 953 519 A Wiper Switch; Steering Column Switch
VW 331 953 519 A 01C

I bought one, but bizarrely it only has normal and fast wipe speed positions. It doest have the down click intermittent

A minefield - possibly none of the above. There appear to have been quite a few variants and supersessions. You're probably best to ask the seller to check which functions the switch supports - I think VW called the intermittent function interval delay.

Have you considered dismantling the switch and cleaning the contacts? I remember doing that for my 1980 Mk1 VW Derby back in the day.

But then they also list all these part numbers pertaining to this one. Go figure!
