Expanding slightly, yes, as long as you remember which way round the s-link was attached (camera time :-)).

Yep, did mine yesterday.

Open tailgate, undo the two screws securing the latch and then carefully unhook it from the 'S' shaped link. Undo the two screws securing the lock barrel assembly and let it drop back.
Remove the remains of the old seal and clean the surround. Fit the new seal, carefully push the lock barrel assembly through the seal and back into place. Of course the rest is reverse of removal, not forgetting to reconnect the latch to the 'S' link. Also try to return the latch to it's original position, to ensure the tailgate shuts correctly.

I answered the question. No instructions were requested!

(Philshaw might be suffering from some form of amnesia, as he had already asked the question, and received replies, here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=21141)

Where to buy the book lock seal?
I got some cheapies from China and they are useless. Any good suppliers, specifically in Europe as my UK Scirocco is in Slovenia now.

Both have very high shipping costs (for me in Slovenia, anyways), twice the value of the item. I am going to have to wait until my next trip to blighty and pick one up.
