speedo needle trousers

speedo needle trousers

Hi All, can anyone tell me why the needle on the speedo of my 86 gtx has started trousers about,It does it at low speed up to about 30mph and then seems ok there is slight movement at 70mph also a slight ticking noise,Is it the speedo cable at fault? or another problem--thanks.

most likely the cable. check its attached properly at both ends
