Hi I’m Adam, I have just joined.
I have just got a 1982 1.6 auto with 30k on the clock.

There she is.
Thanks for the heads up on the app.
I’ve just bought these for it too as I’m not a fan of the Lenso’s

Looks great fellah - very clean & straight, & a good colour - is the mileage evidenced - if so that's a fantastic find. Agree re the rims.......

I'm a fellow Auto owner (88 Scala) - the 010 is a hugely underated box, especially the ones with a slightly more sedate top gear (TJ* series) .

I must get some pics uploaded of mine at some point.....

Hi Adam,

Have you owned any previous VW’s before, and is this your first scirocco?
kind regards,

Dave.

To be old and wise......
You must first be young and stupid!

Previously owned: 1984 1.6 CL in alpine white; 1986 1.6 GT in met light blue over black body kit; 1990 1.8 GT2 in silver.
Currently: 1991 GT2 in Pearl green metallic.

Hi Dave

This is my second Scirocco. The first was a GT2 in metallic blue about 15 years ago.
I have owned many VW’s and currently have a T25 camper and a mk3 golf gti. I have also just sold a B5 S4 avant.

I’m basically going to get the paint in tip top condition. The drivers side was in the sun when it sat for 18 years on a trailer and has oxidised and faded but most of it should clean up. I’ve bought some more period alloys and I’m going to put the original interior back in which I got with the car, again this is faded so I am going to get it refurbished. I feel this car needs to be kept original due to its low miles etc.
I love driving it, it cruises along really well.
