Was pulling out a space earlier today on a slight up-hill on full lock, and there was a rubbing sound from the front of the car. After inspection could see that the tyre was rubbing on the inside of the wheel arch towards the engine bay side. This is completely new, nothing has changed at all except I cleaned the car today.
Car is on the standard BBS Ra alloys, I think they are 13s. Standard suspension. Standard tyres. Just passed MOT and happened when on full left hand lock. Picture to follow.
Any ideas?

have you put on weight lately? also check ball joints as said above and that the hub to shock bolts are not loose.

Re: Tyre rubbing arch suddenly for no reason
HAHA..I have lost 2 kg recently.
Done 12 miles since MOT... and today went over lots of speed bumps.
Will check this tomorrow when its light again, would this be safe to drive in the current condition? Was meant to pick up some 15s in it Thursday before the meet over the weekend.
Thanks

Re: Tyre rubbing arch suddenly for no reason
check the things stated above, also check the inner wheel arch lining hasn't come loose. if they're all good take it for a short test drive. if all is good then id drive it.

Re: Tyre rubbing arch suddenly for no reason
Is the steering rack centralised? Count the turns of the steering wheel from centre to full lock each way as its easy to remove the steering wheel and not put it back on straight then someone adjust the steering tie rods to straighten the steering wheel...
Or perhaps the tracking is out, It’s not included in a MOT test...
Most tyre fitting places will the check the rack and tracking for free then charge for adjustment.
