Just bought a replacement for my knackered Blaupunkt Windsor in my Mk2 88 Scala from same era - a Coburg BUT on receipt find that where the Windsor has 4 x sockets at the back of the head unit, the Coburg has only two.
Been looking for a 4 into 2 din adapter / connector but nothing off the shelf as far as I can see - so, as there is no fade control would it be ok to join the 2 x front and rear channels to left and right respectively (wire strip and solder?) OR would that not work due to resistance etc?
Any advice gratefully received!!!
4 speakers but only 2 sockets in head-unit......

I fear you might create too much of a load by simply joining the wires together.
One solution might be the original factory fader set up. There's one on ebay right now -

Cheers Mr B - any idea how I would use it to take 4 into 2 and where the fader control would sit in the dash?..
TIA

The fader control usually had a cut-out in the centre console - if you search Scirocco Fader on ebay I think there's one on there. it's just a rectangular hole and the Fader clips in.
I'm not sure how the wiring was done, sorry.
