Mk1 Door mirror fix

Post by theboysmiffy »

Whilst washing the Rocco I went to dry the water that gathers in the bottom of the door mirror housing and because I pushed too hard I broke the brittle tabs that hold the glass to the adjusters. I am furious with myself!! Has anyone done this before and how did you get round it? It looks bloody fiddly to get the ends of the cables to attach to the plastic tabs (which are now in many pieces) so I am assuming the mirror assembly is in two bits. One part to attach to the cables and then the glass clips to that. Any help would be most welcome....

No idea but I have some NOS mirror assemblies if you're feeling flush. And a good used driver's side one.

And new ones available via classic parts too, bought some last year and there’s at least one listed on eBay if others are looking for some.
