The Amazon delivery guy started talking at me about cars, having spotted 2 sciroccos on the drive.

Apparently the scirocco was a joint venture between VW and Austin, proof of which can be found in the number of shared components with the maestro and montego.

There we are then :scratch:

The only shared component is the 020 gearbox - which BL simply bought from VW.

Also, the Maestro wasn't produced til 1982 and the Scirocco was first made in 1974.

Next you'll be telling me that Aston Martins share components with Sciroccos....
