Dizzy needed

Post by Radorocco »

Hi all

I need a dizzy for my 1.8DX (1986 GTX)

Can find a refurbished offering for a Golf Mk1 1.8 DX around £100. Would this be OK? (It's from Crazy Quiffs)

Anyone else have one or any other suggestions?

Thanks
Jeff

Yes mk1 golf should be ok, double check the part numbers.
Mk1 Golf cabriolet is the same engine and running gear as the Mk2 Scirocco.

This is the one I fitted to my DX. It works but I don’t do much mileage so can’t comment on the longevity

I also have one as seen above. Fitted it 2/3 years ago and haven't had any issues. But there are plenty of original used bosch units which show up for sale around the same price, you're probably better off getting one of these long term as they're more serviceable/ parts available.
