Hi folks,
I've got a 2012 Rocco, which I adore. Though, recently something went wrong with my AC, and when I came to check it, teh tech guy told me that I need a new HVAC blower motor. So I went ahead and checked with the dealership, and the price appears way too high! I mean, I am totally fine with paying $200+ for a cool dash kit, nice seat covers or new grille, but not for that motor!
So I went online checking for an alternative, and found plenty universal motors, which also seem to be fine, and the price is cool (around $50). But what stops me is that word 'UNIVERSAL', meaning 1 fits all... And what if it doesn't?...
Wanted to ask you folks, maybe someone had a universal HVAC motor replaced? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
Any comments appreciated!!!

Re: Thoughts on a universal HVAC motor
Hi again, wanted to say that I decided to go ahead and order the HVAC motor. They say it is a universal piece (https://www.carid.com/hvac-blower-motors/), so certain mods are required to make it work, which is fine, as long as there is a way to get it in.... Well, will give it a try.
