MK1/2 parcel shelf hinge clips and pins

Vw Scirocco Mk1/2 parcel shelf hinge clips and hinge pins to replace the oem black plastic items that are prone to breaking.

Hinge clips- these are £15 per pair, they are machined from brass and are supplied with all relevant fixings
Hinge dowel pins- £15 per pair and also machined from brass.

not sure, was unaware anyone else had done any except some chap in Germany who made some brass ones.

The brass ones were made by Gunni (RIP) a few years ago.

I have orderd new similar plastic ones for cheap on Ebay.

Engineers made some out of ally, weren't really any good though. Making some out of engineering plastic this week, id prefer metal ones but I'll see how these turn out and will let you all know.

A few easier and simpler suggestions here,

I did mine in 2015 and they still haven't broken and I am in and out of the boot daily.
The main problem is that the clips have to be pliable and there are very few metals that are, unless in strip form.
Various plastic cable clips can be "adjusted" to suit as can tool clips similar to the ones I used.
Basically it is a bit of trial and error to get the desired results.
Just put on your Heath Robinson head and you can come up with a workable solution similar to those already "invented" as shown in the link above.
A visit to your local Ironmongers shop and for a few coppers you have a solution that will last a lifetime.
