They do look the same in the pictures but without seeing them in the flesh and comparing size it's hard to tell.
They don't seem to but any sizes on the website.

The picture is deceiving, the Mk3 cap has an indent to locate the end of the spring, bit like the bit on the strut...the Scirocco one doesn't. Of itself that shouldn't necessarily cause a problem if the other specs are the same.

Why are you extending them?
I can't work out what you are hoping to achieve?

standard springs are too high
lowering springs start at 40mm and are too low.

eibach springs with 20mm added to the spring cups gives me 20mm lowering which should be about right and gives 20mm more shock absorber travel before botteming out which eibachs have a habit of doing to shocks

I vaguely remember from yonks ago before I got coilovers that boge shocks from gag were gas and had a bit more travel than most. They were pretty fairly priced too.

trouble is the springs set the ride height so it will still give the same issue by sitting too low on the suspension.

Just before I sold my 16v rocco the standard springs needed replacing (one broken on the front-bugger!) and I found some 25mm lowering springs which worked well with standard springs just trimmed the bump stops to suit.

Apparently the dreadful paint on my Rocco is PATINA....

i did cut the bump stops but it just proves that the ride is too low for the current dampers and will inevitably lead to damage hence why i made these.
