Fog light poll
Fog light poll
I'm coming to the view that the add on under bumper fog lights are a bit naff, they don't look part of the design, but what do you think?

Re: Fog light poll
Think if you check they are not "add on" and if not fitted the car cannot be classed as "original".
I'll stick with the "naff" but that's a personal opinion.

Re: Fog light poll
I like a standard spec car... So I'm not bothered as VW sold them with and without.

Re: Fog light poll
i think it depends of the style of the car as it suits some but not others.
i really like the big ring rally style lights and they are great on country lanes.
but on a standard concourse car then i would agree with ed if it had them then have them if it didnt dont bother.

Re: Fog light poll
I think a scirocco looks better without them , I removed mine, it's as if they were an after thought and never really suited the car, that's just my opinion though

Re: Fog light poll
now with the scala being my 6th scirocco since driving. ive had a few that had them and a few without. as above, if you want the car to look oem and had them, then ideally they would need to be back on the car. my storm doesnt have them, and didnt come with them, so im not fitting a set to it. however, the scala did come with them ( think Ant forgot to give me the brackets when i brought the car ) i want the car to look completely standard ( sleeper ) so will be possibly looking at putting a set back on it.

Maybe a UK thing, I couldn't find them in the original German brochures.

Re: Fog light poll
Mines got headlight washers on the bumper which balances the look, otherwise it does look out of place
Re: Fog light poll
I have after market ones fitted to mine, nice and thin as I think the originals were an after thought slung below the bumper as a response to the 80's obsession with them as an upgrade
