Headlamp Adjusters

Post by Mark H »

Got a couple of Headlamp Adjusters that are either damaged or broken on the Rocco, is their any way of either fitting new adjusters individually without fully stripping down the complete headlamp unit or leaving the existing back plate plastic in place and just removing/replacing the adjusting screw?

Hi Mark, depending on which bit is broken - I usually find it's the small round fastener that clips into place on 'front' end of the metal rods - I have been able to replace just the broken bit on an adjuster.
If you can get some pliers onto the rear element and twist they will pop out - if you have a few of the small white fasteners you will be able to fix most adjuster issues.

Hope that helps?

They were the same part at GSF for a while, and what I used to fix the lights on a GTII, so I'd say yes.

Cheers James, all bits came on Friday from Joost. What I really need is a couple of the black plastic inserts the frames screw into to locate ?

are these the ones that go into the slam panel on the car? i will have a look as i might have some floating about.
failing that they should be quite a common fitting on other cars so you might be able to upcycle something from a scrap yard
